By his profile picture, like how Twitch Plays Pokemon lets the world comment and control Pokemon, Liétard Pinned Tweet People are asked to comment either up, down, left, right, A, B, Start, or Select to control the simulated Pokemon Red game.
Reviews are pulled every 15 seconds, according to Liétard, and the most commented entries are sent to the game. The current game state is automatically converted to Liétard 400×400 Twitter profile picture.
As of this writing, Spearow is fighting at Level 6 Liétard Level 11 Oddish. Unfortunately, Spearow is currently losing, so we hope Twitter finds a way to work together to save Flying Pokemon. Oh, and in case you’re curious, Twitter somehow chose Squirtle as the starting Pokemon.
Liétard has restarted the game several times to add more features as its popularity rises, and Liétard manually logs into the game every night to save and make sure progress is not lost. There is also a Discord official server That allows those interested to chat about the progress of this specific game from Pokemon Red.There have been over 30,000 comments so far, and it will be very interesting to see how many are needed to beat the Elite Four.
